2008 AGM
The AGM for 2008 went ahead last Sunday at the Barnsley karate Centre, a copy of the points discussed relating to students will be sent out next week & A new calendar of events is being sorted as we speak. Halls have to be booked so as soon as things have been finalised we will pass all the information on.
WAYNE OTTO KUMITE COURSE;
Sensei Paul Newby has arranged for Sensei Wayne Otto (9 times world champion) to coach a kumite session at his Olympik Dream karate dojo, HE HAD A GREAT RESPONSE AND THANKS ALL THE SHINDO KAI INSTRUCTORS AND STUDENTS THAT SUPPORTED HIM.

DAN GRADINGS FOR 2009;
From next year, ALL students within shindo kai must pass certain criteria B4 they can attempt any Dan grading. Everytime you go to a Shindo Kai event, you must take your license book to your Instructor who will write in the event, date and sign your book.
For a 1st Dan to be taken you will need a full page of events in the back of your license, 2nd Dan 2 pages, 3rd Dan 3 pages.
18+ students; You take 1 written exam that has both Judges and referees exam in one, then do your practical at comp for your Judges, then Referees badge. For all students taking higher Dan grades this exam must be passed. We have had some clubs who are not following the same rules as the other clubs in shindo kai & from 2009 ALL clubs will be following the same set of rules.
