10.30 am – 12.00 pm; FREE referees course for all purple belts who are 14 years of age and over. ( bring a pen and smart attire please)

Students can sit the competition officials exam on the course or do it while the kata course is on. (attached) It is not difficult!!

Why do you need to sit the exam? Simply because we need help at our own competitions, its not a full days judging , but to lend a hand to the club instructors & fellow students who have to referee all day, also know the rules of the sport that you are taking part in. If you support the association to make it bigger, better and help others out, you will be rewarded with higher Dan grades. passing your black belts then do nothing until your 2nd Dan or 3rd Dan time is up is not helping your fellow association students & Instructors and it is noticed by others. All black belts should try to take the exam and get it out of the way for future Dan gradings, study it and take it on or after the kumite course. it is not difficult!!

10.30 am – 12.00 pm is also the fighting course. (£4 x1 / £7 x 2 / £10 x 3 / £12 x 4)

12.00 pm – 1.30 pm is the Kata course. (£4 x1 / £7 x 2 / £10 x 3 / £12 x 4)

We will be having a club instructors photograph at 12.00 pm for the web site 2009 update.
If anyone wishes to do both courses then the price is £6.00 per person.
The Fighting course will be taken by the squad coaches; John Tumman, Dave Holmes, Craig burke, Paul Newby.
(Coches that help with the squad at competitions can also teach on the kumite course)
On the Kata course all students will learn their next kata for grading or the one above that.
Sensei Alex Gardner will also be taking a competition kata group, learning the black belt kata Empi. He is now shindo kai’s Kata coach. The choice is yours. Please arrive 10 minutes B4 the course starts.

ARRIVE IN LIVINGSTONES FROM 7.00 PM ONWARDS, WE EAT AT 8.00PM, THEN GO BACK ACROSS TO LIVINGSTONES AND HAVE A NITE ROUND THE TOWN OR STOP IN LIVO'S TO HAVE A FEW DRINKS.

Forms are out at your clubs, I need name and payments by Sunday 1st Feb.
After our AGM meeting, it was decided by all instructors to add on £1.00 for SQUAD ONLY competitions where we have up to 6 coaches that travel to a competition to coach Shindo kai students. Some coaches have to pay their own entry as spectators and petrol costs, adding the extra £1.00 onto an entry will cover coaches expenses. When we get a large entry we need the help, We are the envy of some associations with so many coaches, some have large squads and 1 coach for the day!
I hope everyone understands and willingly contributes the £1. This comp is a 2 day event.
SHINDO KAI'S OWN CHAMPIONSHIPS. (22nd Feb)
Closing date for club entries to your instructor is; 14th Feb!
Open to all students with an upto date license. (license check on the day for all competitors)
Sunday 22nd Feb, Athersley sports centre. (£5 per section)
(Dane fox, can you get the competitor of the day trophy back to us so we can add your name onto it and get it ready to present again at the competition, the course this Sunday will be good for us. thanks)
