No other associations have a coaching team like shindo kai, these guys work their socks of for 2 days, sometimes mistakes happen and a fighter does not get a coach the team apologies if this happens. In future when we have 2 shindo kai students together and we have 2 coaches spare each fighter will get a coach, in the past coaches were told to keep out of the way, but we will change the ruling. If there is only 1 coach for 2 shindo kai fighters then the coach will step back.
The coaches still noticed many black Gi's without shindo kai badges and some who are elite squad members did not have the elite badge on, Come on guys be proud of the shindo kai squad, osu!!
Special mention;
Katie Dalzell and Donna Healey, both put in special performances this weekend. little katie if a real force to be reconed with and Donna's 1st major competion she came away with 4 points and her elite squad badge. well done you two. Osu!

Saturday events will be from 0930hrs. The first events will be Team Kata and all Jnr Kata's which will commence at 09.30hrs on all areas, then followed by Snr Kata. The 4 boys & girls categories 10-12yrs & the 9yrs and under kumite events will follow along with the team events.

Sensei Alex; will be working on the 2 compulsary kata Jion and Kanku Dai, so anyone that is a high grade that wants to join the kata squad can perform these kata at the big competition. Depending on how many is in a section, you must perform1 or 2 set kata with no variations, with out these 2 compulsary kata you would not be allowed to enter certian hgh graded kata sections, after the compulsary sections then its free choice kata but only traditional kata. Squad members will have Jion, kanku dai and Enpi, its not too late to join the squad!!!
Another change of date for our Shindo kai Junior competition and another squad comp to be added!

So the squad has 4 competition in 2 months!!!!. If finances are a problem then you will have to pick which ones you can afford to go to, We understand.

ALL ENTRIES MUST BE SENT IN BY YOUR CLUB INSTRUCTOR ON THESE FORMS BY EMAIL ON OR B4 SATURDAY 6TH FEBRUARY.
THEY WILL BE SENT OUT FOR CHECKING ON MONDAY 8TH, THEN SENT TO THE ORGANISER ON THE WEDNESDAY.

Face Guards and body armour are optional for 14-15yrs.
Hand and foot/Shin mitts compulsory + Gum shields 10 years and above

There will only be two 'Open' sessions per year where training is open to everyone (depending on age as stated on attached form) and selections will be held to gain entry on to the England 'A' squad.
Selections for the major championships European & World will be made from within the 'A' squad so now is your opportunity to make the 'A' grade.
The National Coach, Wayne Otto OBE, has set some criteria below which must be satisfied in order to select.
1) England A squad athletes living more than 1.5 hours away from their nearest Regional Kumite class need only attend training at these classes once per month, all other athletes living closer than 1.5 hours away to these classes need to train a minimum of two sessions per month.(Sensei paul newbys is ours)
2) Athletes wishing to try out for admittance to the England A squad must attend a minimum of 5 regional Kumite classes before being eligible to train and select on the England Open Squad Training and Selections.
3) The Kumite Training Tracking forms in addition to EKF licence will be used as proof on the day of selections and training to ensure that athletes are complying with the new rules. Failure to do so will result in the athlete not being able to take part in the training and selection process.

The 21st Summer training course for 2010 will be on the following dates next year;
